Porcher Park Community Garden at 822 Wren Place in central Langford has food-growing plots for household resilience and food donation to community.
Urban Food Resilience Initiatives Society (UFRIS) operates the garden on behalf of the City of Langford.

The City of Langford has paid for the garden box construction and irrigation. We received donations of lumber and soil.
People are already launching their plots with veggie plants.
Now we’re seeking donation of gardening tools and equipment such as shovels, trellises, tomato cages, hose nozzles, watering cans, trowels, small rakes, shelves for our tool shed, water storage bottles, and a large barrel for storing long rakes and hoes.

Please drop off clean *usable* items outside the fence (next to the soil piles). Inquiries by email to info@urbanfoodresilience.ca .
The Porcher Park Community Garden is open to Langford residents. About 90% of the current growers live within a few blocks of the garden. There is a strong neighbourhood connection, including the support of our friendly neighoubours in the Wren Place area.
Thank you to everyone who has supported the launch of this first-ever community garden in Langford!
