The City of Langford is about to launch their first community garden in 2025.
It’s located on Wren Place in central Langford, next to a playground, public park, and natural forested area.
Quite the jewel of a location!
The park will offer growing plots for eager gardeners.
Some of the plots may offer a volunteer opportunity for skilled gardeners to produce food for donation to the local food support network.
There will be a few plots designated for those with Accessibility needs, and some designated for Indigenous gardeners.
All garden plots will be assigned to Langford residents.
We’re looking forward to seeing the garden design and how the garden will be operated.
The first Porcher Park growing season will be May 15 to October 15 this year.
