Gardens are growing fast and well at Porcher Park Community Garden in central Langford!
Growing boxes are in action by 31 local households as well as three community growing boxes.

Everyone cooperates to keep an eye out for the care of other growing boxes as well as their own.
Water is supplied through hoses from four stations around the park perimeter. The public is reminded that these hoses are for garden use and not considered safe to use for drinking water.

Families who play at the next-door playground at Porcher Park may wish to bring along their own bottles of water.
If gardeners expect to be away, they arrange for family, friends or neighbours to water their garden plot. Any gardeners who wish to advise the garden operator of extended time away (summer vacation, etc) can email to info@urbanfoodresilience.ca .
Growing boxes are rented for summer and winter seasons. Currently all the boxes are rented, with a wait list.
