How to donate:

Urban Food Resilience Initiatives Society (UFRIS) accepts donations of plants, equipment and funds.
  • MAKE A FINANCIAL DONATION
  • We greatly appreciated your donated funds! Funds are used for equipment and supplies at the community garden (including plants and soil), volunteer support, non-profit society administration, workshops, tours, website maintenance, events, and distribution of fresh produce to the community.
  • Please send your donation as an e-transfer in any dollar amount to info@urbanfoodresilience.ca [non-charity receipt will be provided].
  • Donations over $100 will be listed on this website (or remain anonymous if you wish).
  • UFRIS is a registered non-profit Society in BC (but we are not a charity).

  • DONATE GARDENING EQUIPMENT, SOIL or PLANTS 
  • Drop off garden equipment, soil or plants at Porcher Park Community Garden (828 Wren Place in Langford) or email to arrange pickup: info@urbanfoodresilience.ca.
  • Drop off pumpkins for composting during the Thanksgiving/Halloween season — place into Box 34 at Porcher Park, outside the fenced garden area, October 15 to November 9, 2025.
  • For health reasons, please do *not* bring raw manure of any kind to the garden.
  • If dropping off soil or mulch please label the containers with the source of your soil.
  • If dropping off plants please label the containers with plant identification. We accept plants for the production of edibles (vegetables, herbs, fruits) and pollinator flowering plants.
