The Urban Food Resilience Initiatives Society (UFRIS) is pleased to be planting the seeds of many decades of good food-growing habits in Langford, the broader west shore region, across Greater Victoria, and beyond.

- Friday April 11. Growing Food in Urban Spaces. UFRIS Presentation to West Shore Rotary. 12 noon, at White Spot in Langford.
- Tuesday April 22. EARTH DAY in LANGFORD. City of Langford Earth Day event at Porcher Park (on Wren Place in central Langford). Time tba. Remarks from Langford Mayor and Council. Open to the public.
- Saturday May 10 (date to be confirmed). Porcher Park Community Garden Meet & Greet / Info Session. Time tba (probably 11 am). Learn about how to participate in the garden, sign up to be included the plot-assignment lottery. Meet your fellow gardeners. | Can’t be there? - Summer 2025. Workshop on Growing Veggies in Containers. Will be held in Langford. Save the date. More info to come.
