The Urban Food Resilience Initiatives Society (UFRIS) is pleased to be planting the seeds of many decades of good food-growing habits in Langford, the broader west shore region, across Greater Victoria, and beyond.

- Saturday May 10. PORCHER PARK COMMUNITY GARDEN MEET & GREET / INFO SESSION. For people who grow food! Langford residents are invited to learn more about getting a food-growing plot at the Langford community garden at Porcher Park (822 Wren Place in central Langford). 11:00 to 12:30 pm. Find out how the garden will operate. Meet fellow gardeners. Add your name to the garden plot selection lottery (assigned plots will be announced on Monday May 12); a wait list will be built after that. Sponsors, donors and volunteers welcome.
