The Urban Food Resilience Initiatives Society (UFRIS) is pleased to be planting the seeds of many decades of good food-growing habits in Langford, the broader west shore region, across Greater Victoria and British Columbia.

Current:
October 15 to November 9, 2025. Donate your Thanksgiving and Halloween pumpkins to Porcher Park Community Garden for composting. Bring to the garden at PPCG, put into Box 34 (outside the garden gate). Financial donations for soil supply are welcome. E-transfer to info@urbanfoodresilience.ca .
Fall 2025. Plan your spring garden. Workshop will be held in Langford at Porcher Park Community Garden. More info to come.
Spring 2026. Workshop on Growing Veggies in Containers. Will be held in Langford at Porcher Park Community Garden. More info to come.

August 2025 Public Tours of Porcher Park Community Garden. An opportunity for the public to drop-in to Porcher Park Community Garden to see how things run! Several gardeners volunteered to host 11 drop-in times through the month of August.

- Thursday May 15. PORCHER PARK COMMUNITY GARDEN OPENING DAY. For people who grow food! The 2025 summer growing season started May 15 at Porcher Park, 822 Wren Place, Langford. Assigned plots were announced on May 12 and 13. We’re trying to include everyone, with a wait list as required after that. Sponsors, donors and volunteers welcome.
