Gardens are growing at Porcher Park Community Garden in Langford.
Over 31 local households have invested their time, gardening skills and care to grow edible foods in raised garden beds.
The range of plants includes lettuce, carrots, potatoes, beans, peas, parsley, kale, beets, corn, tomatoes and more.
The harvest is for these households and any neighbours they may share with.
There are also two raised beds from which the harvest will go directly to the food bank or other established food-support network provider.
Urban Food Resilience Initiative Society (UFRIS) is the Operator of the garden.
The garden infrastructure (fencing, water, raised beds, etc) has been funded by the City of Langford.
