Urban Food Resilience Initiatives Society (UFRIS) will be participating in the one-day Environmental Expo in Colwood on Saturday January 11, 2025.
UFRIS will have an information table about developing the opportunities and capacity for growing natural food in urban spaces.
UFRIS Executive Lead Mary P Brooke will deliver a short presentation at 1:30 pm about how new and updated urban infrastructure and municipal support are key factors to building more urban food resilience.
The event runs from 11 am to 4 pm at the Church of the Advent, 510 Mount View Ave. Free to the public, drop-in. Free parking.
The Environmental Expo is a capstone career project by Grade 12 Belmont Secondary School student Taylor Gossman.
